Why Field's Great Nutrition Uses Natural Flavors

At Field’s Great Nutrition, we believe that great nutrition only works if it becomes part of your daily routine and that starts with great taste. If a protein shake doesn’t taste good, it’s much harder to make it a consistent habit. Because of this, flavor is an incredibly important part of the product development process.

To achieve the best possible taste while maintaining our clean ingredient standards, we evaluated and tested many flavor suppliers across the industry. After extensive review, we chose to partner with some of the most respected flavor houses, known for producing high-quality natural flavors derived from real food sources like fruits, vegetables, spices, and herbs.

Natural flavors are extracted using methods such as heating, roasting, distillation, or enzymatic processes that capture the natural essence of the original ingredients without using synthetic or harmful chemicals. In some cases, our flavors come directly from recognizable food sources such as cocoa or vanilla bean.

Flavor development is also a specialized craft. The natural flavors used in our products are created from carefully balanced blends of plant-derived extracts and oils that deliver the smooth, enjoyable taste in every serving. Because these blends are developed by our flavor partners, the exact compositions are considered proprietary intellectual property, so those details cannot be publicly disclosed.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates natural flavors to ensure they meet safety standards. Unlike artificial flavors, which are chemically synthesized, natural flavors must originate from substances found in nature.
